Fit ‘n Fabulous

Fitness has played a major part of my life for as long as I can remember. You won’t, however, see any post gym selfies on my Instagram because… sweat… GROSS. I pride myself in constantly looking for ways to keep fit and keep my body in shape. I unfortunately wasn’t born with the “skinny gene”. Who doesn’t hate know that one girl who doesn’t know what the inside of gym looks like, lives on fast food take aways and uses her Nike Flyknit’s to complete her athleisure look instead of wearing them to actually work out in but still manages to not gain weight. I’m not in the best shape right now, thanks to December, but I’m slowly working to achieve the level of fitness I was at, where I felt strong and looked toned. There is no quick fix to get a snatched body so I make healthy eating choices, work out as much as I can and sip on water through out the day. I’m a work in progress. I go boxing multiple times a week to work on my endurance and it’s always handy for a girl to learn how to land a mean punch (you never know when you might need that!), I run over weekends and attend classes every now and then, so it’s only a matter of time until my fitness levels are back where they used to be. I’m active 4 – 5 times a week so looking good while doing so is very important to me. It changes my mindset and acts as a motivator. Sometimes just convincing myself to attend a 90 minute sweat session is a mission on its own, but if I have a great looking outfit which is comfortable to slip into then it makes it slightly easier to get active. Which is why I’m so excited about Fit ’n Fabulous.

Fit ’n Fabulous is an online retail store which specialises in premium activewear of exceptional quality. Selling the latest, on trend pieces to get your sweat on in, Fit ’n Fabulous is changing the active wear scene one vibrant legging at a time. The brand’s vision is to bring life to ladies activewear in South Africa and they do so by offering activewear in striking designs, bold, vibrant colours and in luxe fabrics which look gorgeous but are totally functional as well. Say good bye to activewear which fades due to constant use, stitching comes undone or elasticity weakens after a few washes. The leggings are made of LYRCA fibre technology which ensures they keep everything in place with it’s firmness and support, but are stretchy enough to allow you to move comfortably. The fabric is buttery soft to the touch and even offers UVA/UVB 50+ sunlight protection which makes them perfect to wear for outdoor exercises.  They are also made of a unique, sweat absorbing fabric which is durable, breathable and quick drying. There’s nothing worse and more uncomfortable than working out in your own sweat. So, whether your preferred choice of exercise is surfing or kickboxing, hiking or ballet, running or just attending a gym class, Fit ’n Fabulous has something for you.
Leggings are available in x long (to the ankles), leggings (just below the calf) and crop (mid-calf) versions to suit your style and are available in a wide variety of striking designs and bold, vibrant prints. I mean just take a look at how fabulous this spring leaves print is! A limited number of leggings are available in each print so if you see something that catches your attention you better buy it quick before it’s gone! When it comes to patterned leggings I’m apprehensive to buy because I have a butt, a big, round, bubble butt, so I’m constantly wondering how much the people behind me can see when I drop it down low into a squat or need to bend over. With these leggings I have the peace of mind to know that my butt is not on display to the masses because my leggings are not suddenly see through. Say good bye to those oversized free t-shirts you were over your leggings, because Honey, with Fit ’n Fabulous, you don’t need them! Even stretched over my behind the patterns remain vibrant, they don’t look stretched and strained and the waist band doesn’t gape. Jennifer Lopez has even been spied working out in a pair, so if they’re good enough for JLo’s butt, they’re  certainly good enough for mine.

Fit ’n Fabulous doesn’t only stock amazing leggings but they also stock a range of sports bras to compliment each bottom. Offering comfortable support for your lady bits while working out, the sports bras are available in different makes for low, medium and high impact exercises. They also feature sexy designs on the back like the x bar, movement or my personal favourite the strap back bra which I’m wearing in this post.

I love your blog Kea. It has a matured feel to it. I have been following your blogging since the days of fashion capcity and Vodacom….. I have recently just started blogging too and I am learning that even blogging about fashion takes more than the outfit to make the post interesting and engaging. It needs lots of time and thought to be invested in it. Check it out when you have time sindisosdiary.blogspot.com

      Hi Sindiso!
Firstly, Thank you! That means a lot to me. Knowing that there are people out there who follow your work and appreciate it makes it easier to keep going.
There’s a misconception about how easy blogging is. Blogging is definitely hard work. People think all you do is get dressed, take a few pics of your outfit and BAM! That’s it! It takes alot of preparation and time; styling a look, looking for a great location, getting it shot and producing great quality looking images, engaging with an audience and actually communicating something worth while while not being boring takes effort and work. I’m constantly thinking about new ideas. For me it’s more about creating the best quality of work I possibly can which means my previous post is always the benchmark. It’s fun but not easy! I’ll definitely take a look through your blog!
      Congrats on your new blog!
