TomBoy

The tomboy phase hit me in my teens. From around 13 to 16 years I was comfortable in long, baggy Nike t-shirts, denims, trainers and a cap pulled down low. I had more fun running around a field or netball court and I certainly wasn’t worrying about fashion and what I wanted to wear. Oh how times have changed! I look back at some of those pics and can’t help but chuckle at that little girl who had no interest in makeup, boys or high heels. This outfit reminds me of her. I still carry that girl around with me. I love androgynous looks and wish I could pull them off a little better, I purchase my shirts and t-shirts from the men’s section, I prefer men’s chino’s to women’s and I don’t think there’s anything sexier than a woman wearing a tailored suit.

I purchased these utility pants at Country Road and have had so much fun wearing them on warm days with nude heeled, strappy sandals and a vest, so I decided to wear them down for a change with my favourite sneakers and a cap. These cargo or utility pants have awesome details like multiple pockets and zips. Nike’s Air Force One is my favourite sneaker BY FAR. I love all variations of them from the low, mid to the high top. I’m quite surprised that it took me so long to wear these on the blog because I’m wearing a pair of AF1's almost every other weekend. They’re just so versatile and comfortable, and should form the basis of any good sneaker collection.

This is by far my most favorite of your looks. So comfortable and yet so cute. I agree, you cant have a sneaker collection without AF1.And again… accessories 😍😍

Thank you Noni! And to think the shoot almost didn’t happen! I’m definitely going to post more looks with sneakers because they form a big part of my day to day style.
