The Peermont Charity Mile 2016

On Saturday I had the pleasure of being invited to The Peermont Emperors Palace Charity Mile which took place at The Turrfontein Racecourse. The Charity Mile is a race day unlike any other where 16 charities are paired with 16 celebrities, 16 media houses and 16 top thoroughbreds for a day of world class horse racing, entertainment and plenty of excitement. There’s nothing more fulfilling than having a good time and knowing you’re contributing to a worthy cause.

There are various hospitality packages available in the Aquanaut or Furious Room and Deck where you have a beautiful, uninterrupted view of the race track. If you’re looking for something more laid back and family friendly you can buy a ticket at Triple B - The Bourbon, Beer and Burger Festival, where you can enjoy a relaxed afternoon on the track side area. Sip on some bourbon, bubbly or craft beer and nibble on some tasty treats while you enjoy the live band. If you’re looking for the glitz and glam of a suite or just a fun-filled afternoon with your family, and potentially taking home some money, The Peermont Charity Mile has you covered.

For the event, I decided on a white frock from my favourite designer at the moment Matte Nolim. Wearing all white made me feel ethereal and angelic on the day. The dress itself is simple and minimal, but the dramatic sleeves makes it come alive and gives it tons of personality. I was apprehensive about wearing all white to an outdoor event but I decided to throw caution to the wind and just go for it. I paired my look with silver accessories, nude sandals, a bright red lip and my go to cat eye sunglasses.
