I’m a huge fan of statement sunglasses. I feel like they don’t just complete an outfit, but they elevate it. With quality sunglasses being so expensive I generally stick to investing in one pair a year, so I need to make sure I really love them, they’re an amazing pair and they don’t resemble anything I already have. One of my favorite brand’s of sunglasses in the world is RetroSuperFuture. They recently released their Fall 2016 collection just in time for the South African summer. The Italian eyewear brand has perfected the art of a clean and simple frame while keeping the silhouette bold and striking. The best description I’ve read thus far that sums up Super’s aesthetic is they “reduce visual redundancy”. The Fall collection is characterized by a matte finish in bold shapes that we’ve come to get accustomed to from the contemporary eyewear company. My favorite of the collection has to the be Tuttolente frames which are made entirely of high-grade ZEISS lens. The glasses are lightweight and entirely frameless. They are chic and futuristic, and even though they are simple and minimal, the mirrored glasses are simply amazing.
