STYLE | My favourite South African Fashion, Beauty & Accessory brands

After a 2 year, 5-month hiatus I’ve decided to resurrect my blog and start posting again. Every year I wondered if I should continue paying the renewal costs if I wasn’t updating it regularly anymore. Do people still read blogs? Is a blog still a relevant media platform? I doubted myself and would ask myself tons of questions, but would end up renewing it anyway. Deep down I knew I’d eventually return. The truth is I enjoy blogging. It is a lot of work and may not be as popular as it was a few years ago, but I enjoy writing and reading blogs, so it was a no brainer. I also like the idea of having a platform that I own. If I’m honest the content I publish on Instagram does not belong to me. If Instagram decides to disappear tomorrow, all my content will vanish with it, so it’s important for me to have my own space.

In celebration of my return, I’m sharing with you my favourite South African fashion, accessory, and beauty brands. Lately, I’ve been intentional about spending more money on local brands. The quality is just as good as international brands (if not better with some brands) and it brings me great joy knowing I’m sowing into my country and contributing to the growth of local brands.
