Winter 2016

Winter is not my favourite season. The layering, wearing socks and stockings with EVERYTHING and dry, patchy skin is enough to drive a summer baby like me crazy. After a few weeks, my winter wardrobe has usually run out and I'm left repeating the same outfits over and over again. For Winter 2016 the plan is to stock up on basics and mix and match until spring comes around (I was so tempted to say until the cows come home).

When building a wardobe it's important to pick a palette upfront, before you even buy anything. This stops you from straying into another colour which won't go with other items you have purchased and allows you to make the most of a robost winter wardrobe. My winter 2016 colour palette consists of greys, creams, neutrals and black in soft, luxurious fabrics of felt, yummy wool, suede and furs.

Clockwise from L - R: Toteme Belted grey wrap coat | Grey Fedora | Cream white knit | Grey Felt A Line Mini skirt |  Witchery black long sleeve dress | Acne Studio Black biker leather jacket | Gianvito Rossi grey suede over the knee boots | Gianvito Rossi Suede pumps | Nike Flyknit Roshe Run | Jo Malone London Blackberry & Bay Bath Oil | Tom Ford nude Lipstick

I have literally been stalking the pieces listed above, waiting for sales or looking for cheaper alternatives. What is on your Winter 2016 must have list?
